West Palm Beach Florida police investigate three shooting deaths, two of them at same apartment complex

Crimes in the ‘hood continues despite the U.S. getting Osama bin Laden. As the White House continues to chest thump, what good is it for the real people dying in the streets of America?
Miami Herald reports Police are investigating a pair of shooting deaths that occurred at the same apartment complex within 12 hours of each other Saturday.
Around 4:30 a.m., a 25-year-old man was found, shot in the face, at 1017 Palm Beach Lakes Blvd. Police identified him as Edward Burkes, who was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he died. Police are treating Burkes' death as a homicide.
At approximately 3 p.m., another man was shot and killed at the same two-story building - an empty lot away from Hook Fish & Chicken, which sits at the corner of Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard and Tamarind Avenue.
The body of the victim was shielded behind barricades in the apartment parking lot while police collected evidence. Some nearby streets were closed, and several dozen onlookers watched from beyond the crime-scene tape.
The situation grew emotional with the arrival of family members of the victim, whom police have not yet publicly identified.
“All the homies dying,” said one bystander.
Police also are investigating a third death, which occurred at 5 a.m. in the 1600 block of 43rd Street. As of Saturday evening, police had not identified the male victim or disclosed the cause of death.
Anyone with information concerning Burke's murder is urged to contact police at (866) 312-7193 or Palm Beach County Crime Stoppers at (800) 458 –TIPS (8477).
