GOP lawmaker says Sen. Scott Brown 'should be ashamed of himself'
0 comments Posted by ai at 3:53 AM
Scott Brown was never a true conservative. But the problem that's plaguing the GOP is that there are too many scared rabbits. They rather be popular or liked by the media rahter being a true conservative advocates.
Or more bluntly they're chicken shit!
Rep. Joe Walsh (R-Ill.) scolded the senator for opposing the House GOP budget from Rep. Paul Ryan.
The Hill
An Illinois Republican on Monday said Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.) should be "ashamed of himself" for opposing Rep. Paul Ryan's (R-Wis.) budget plan.
"Respectfully, Scott Brown ought to be ashamed of himself," Rep. Joe Walsh (R-Ill.) told Neil Cavuto on the Fox Business Network. "This is the defining moment of this generation. We have got to be bold. We know these entitlements have to be reformed to be saved. He knows that."
Walsh added that any Republican opposed to the plan was motivated by "political reasons."
"Any Republican that doesn’t vote for this or doesn’t support this is purely being guided by political reasons," Walsh continued. "This is not time to be politically scared. Every day I am in this town I am more convinced this president has no clue as to the financial cliff we are about to fall off of.”

Geordie Shore girls debut to take over reality fron Only Way Essex
0 comments Posted by ai at 8:42 PM
The Sun reports these girls Shore look good as they prepare for stardom ahead of their TV debut.
The four Geordie Shore lasses show they are the bust in the world of reality TV by posing in racy black lingerie
And they vowed to show viewers that they are even sexier than the girls from The Only Way Is Essex when the show kicks off on MTV tonight.
Vicky Pattison, 23, told Nuts magazine: "What's really sexy about Geordie Shore is that we're all ourselves, whereas girls in Essex are constantly dolled up to the nines."
And when asked if they would say that Newcastle is the only way, rather than Essex, 20 year-old Charlotte Letitia-Crosby hit back "that's exactly what I'd say!"
But they made it clear that they respected the TOWIE gang.
When asked if they'd prefer a night out with the Essex girls or the posh Made In Chelsea cast, Sophie Kasaei, 21, replied: "Essex all over".
The trio, along with Holly Hagan, 18, will join lads Gary Beadle, 23, Jason Gardner, 24, Greg Lake, 26, and James Tindale, 20, in the Newcastle version of Jersey Shore, which sees them have a wild time while sharing a house together.
The programme will start on Tuesday, May 24 at 10pm on MTV

Such is the state of the NYS Republican Party—a joke!
These clowns are no better than Democrats, totally bereft of any kind of conservative principles. Case in point is Bozo-impersonator, James Aledsi who attended a dinner hosted by The Empire State Pride Agenda, the biggest gay-rights lobby in New York. Bozo the Alesi, previously voted against gay-nups in 2009 that helped kill the bill. So over the weekend he’s playing footsy with ESPA and hinting he may vote “yes”?
Makes me wonder what was promised to Alesi—free life time pedicures? Or just plain old cash to keep his seat?

More government intrusion into the private lives of people. This new expansion of the smoking ban to parks, beaches, and pedestrian mass seems very wrong to me.
And I’m not even a smoker!
However, it’s become very fashionable to treat smokers like modern-day leapers. However, there’s a huge hypocrisy involved here. If mother government hates smoking so much and it’s so dangerous, why not ban it entirely?
The answers is obvious, Big Brother wants to continue collecting taxes for cigarette sales. So smoking is so terrible, but not terrible enough to cash in on it.
CBS News
"It's not fair, Ya know. I'm a smoka. That's my choice. I smoke. It's not gonna make me stop," said New Yorker Frank Zieran.
New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg, a former smoker, pushed for the law that aims to drastically reduce, if not eliminate exposure to second hand smoke.
"I feel like everywhere I go, people are outside smoking because they can't be inside. And I have to steer my stroller out of the way of second hand smoke," said Shari Dorfman.

Faiz Shakir of Think Progress is the clueless on for attacking Herman Cain’s sound judgment on foreign policy
0 comments Posted by ai at 7:42 PM
Leave to the clueless Left to attack a Republican on foreign policy. These are the last people to that should criticize anyone given we have a community organizer masquerading as president with an approval rating in the low 40s.
Shakir wrote:
“Former pizza executive Herman Cain announced on Saturday in Atlanta that he is “running for the president of the United States, and I’m not running for second.” Previously, Cain has shown a lack of depth on foreign policy, stating at one point that he doesn’t know enough to say what he thinks about the Afghanistan war.”
What Shakir doesn’t report is that Cain said he doesn’t have access to the “on the ground” situation as well as intelligence reports only available to a president.
Cain is also showing much better judgment than candidaten Obama who criticized Bush left and right only to follow Bush’s program to the letter when became president.
Gitmo still open!
Obama doubled down on drone attacks!
Obama increased troops in Afghanistan using Bush surge plans that were successful in Iraq!
So, Cain waiting see information on facts on the ground before making a decision on policy is a wise move. But, what do you expect from Think Progress?

Instead of announcing via social networking websites, Cain, currently a talk radio host, made his announcement at a rally in Centennial Olympic Park.
Cain said, “I‘m running for president of the United States and I’m not running for second.”
Cain joins the field that includes Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX), former Governor Gary Johnson (R-NM), and former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich (R-GA).

It didn’t take long for Israeli PM Binyamin Netanyahu to throw it back in Obama’s face after he was thrown under the bus.
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was quick on the draw Thursday in voicing clear displeasure with President Barack Obama’s mideast policy speech.
“Israel appreciates President Obama’s commitment to peace,” the response began, curtly. “Israel believes that for peace to endure between Israelis and Palestinians, the viability of a Palestinian state cannot come at the expense of the viability of the one and only Jewish state.”

How heartless can this teen mom be to kill her own child? She worse than Hannibal Lecter.
Daily Mail reports this is the shocking moment a teenage mother attempts to smother her baby in a hospital.
Hidden video cameras caught 18-year-old Shantaniqua Scott place a blanket over her four-month-old son's mouth. Moments later she clamps her hand over his face and mouth as the newborn baby kicks and struggles for life as his air supply is cut off. By the time the teenage single mother removes her hand her son Raymond's body appears limp.

In a most disgusting display of hubris and ignorance, President Barack Hussein Obama called on the state of Israel to retreat to their 1967 borders.
I couldn’t believe my ears!
Obama might as well have handed Hamas the launch codes to one thousand Trident missiles if he thinks that giving up the strategically vital Golan Heights and other buffer zones is something Israel should do.
Once again Obama has reminded the world that it’s amateur hour at the White House.
Liberals love to dub the uprisings in Muslims countries throughout the Middle East as the so-called “Arab Spring”. It’s a catchy albeit meaningless slogan that gives a false impression of hope and progress for that troubled part of the world. What’s really happening amongst the false clamoring for freedom is a call for the freedom to destroy Israel once and for all.
In essence, Obama has told Israel, “Go to Hell!” And he’s clearly aligning himself with his Muslim comrades that he’s constantly reaching out to.
Iran is busily trying to develop nuclear weapons to use against Israel and Obama does nothing to stop it, and probably prays for it.
It’s a sad day indeed and I hope Israel survives long enough before something truly tragic happens until Obama can be removed from office in 2012.
The life and the safety of Israel depends on it!

“We need more money!”
In one way or another, this is the only phrase every public sector teacher’s union knows how to say. I’ve been hearing since I was a kid and the lie still gets told to this day.
It’s as much a myth as man-made climate change!
Teacher’s are very well paid and in NYS more than 1,200 teachers and administrators get paid fat-cat pensions exceeding $100,000 a year!
I’m not against people getting paid a lot of money. But, I very much object to the deceitful ways teachers pick my pocket and expect me not to know the difference.
So the next time you see a union official or a teacher on TV playing the sad sack role and crying the not getting pain enough blues, we all should be paid so little.

Isn’t that the same scenario with man-made global warming, the scientists say it’s a fact?

Here in New York we have a joke of a Democrat named John Liu who got elected comptroller. During his campaign his he falsely claimed he worked in sweatshops as a youth.
So the man is dishonest!
But, he got elected anyway because of…wait for it….massive labor union support. That’s how Democrats roll in this one party town.
After he was elected, he ordered staff at the comptroller’s office to stand up whenever he enters a room and address him as, “Mr. Comptroller.” That’s how much of a narcissist he is.
Liu, the egomaniacal union suck up got called out by a Supreme Court Justice for coming up with a wage-scale for movers in contract to do work for the city that would pay a rate of $38.90 an hour over to the private sector rate of $12.00 an hour.
So instead of looking out for taxpayers of NYC, Liu tries to hand his union masters a whopping 221% wage increase! If this isn’t institutional corruption, what is?
And here’s another kick in the head. Liu is supposed to be a leading candidate for mayor in 2013.

Stephen Hawking’s disbelief in Heaven may indicate that he’s on the verge of his greatest discovery
0 comments Posted by ai at 4:56 PM
I feel sorry for Hawking in more way than one. First, I can’t imagine what his life must be like processing such a gifted mind, and yet having to live locked in a shell of a broken body ravaged by ALS.
However, the impressive thing is that despite his disability he’s achieved much in his life. Many consider him the smartest man in the world.
So who am I am to argue?
Yes, Hawking is a genius, which is noteworthy and without question. Yet, although he is extremely smart, it’s not coupled with Godly sense--for if Hawking had this kind of sense, he would be able to fathom the world around him and comprehend beyond what his eyes see. If he had this kind of sense, he would easily determine that the complexities of the universe couldn’t possibly be formed by happenstance.
The Bible specifically speaks about people like Hawking:
1 Corinthians 1:20-21, 25
“So where does this leave the philosophers, the scholars, and the world’s brilliant debaters? God has made the wisdom of this world look foolish. Since God in his wisdom saw to it that the world would never know him through human wisdom, he has used our foolish preaching to save those who believe.”
“This foolish plan of God is wiser than the wisest of human plans and God’s weakness is stronger than the greatest of human strength.”
Basically these verses speaks to how the idea of God and Heaven and other such things associated with that seems like utter foolishness to the Uber-intelligent people of the world. People like these or Hawking in particular are unable to understand God and His existence because their own intellect doesn’t allow them to make the leap into faith understanding in God. This doesn’t mean that Hawking will be an atheist for the rest of his life. It only means that God hasn’t made Himself manifest to Hawking in a personal way.
I have hope for Hawking and others like him.
I think he is on the verge of his greatest discovery, that yes, Heaven is real and so is God in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Believing is good!

We live in a society of smart phones and stupid people. Instant coffee used to be the rage, but it’s nothing compared to Facebook or Twitter. We want our immediate gratification yesterday and complain and go into a deep panic when our cell goes dead.
In this life scheme, the “C” part of the word “commitment” in marriage has become as passĆ© as a land line.
And so, Maria Shriver has decided to pack her bags and leave her 25 year marriage to Arnold Schwarzenegger. Reports are that The Terminator strayed from the marriage bed with the hired help and produced a love child.
It’s as messy as messy can be.
But, that’s exactly what “or worse” is. It’s sloppy, embarrassing, and especially painful.
Is Arnold in the wrong?
Absolutely, no question! He deserves every bit of scorn that comes his way. But, there’s a lot of details we’re not privy to. No one knows what goes on behind closed doors.
But, although Maria is the recipient of great injury, by leaving the marriage, she breaks her vow to Arnold to stay with her husband in good times and in bad. Both are equally guilty of making a mockery of their marriage vows.
Maria is no better.

NYS Sen Ruben Diaz Sr. fights the good fight against homosexual marriage in the Empire state

You won’t hear me do this too often, but I’m going to sing the praises of a Democrat—Ruben Diaz Sr. Now I and Ruben probably don’t agree on many issues. However, my fellow Puerto Rican compatriot and Christian gentlemen from The Bronx is a staunch defender of traditional marriage.

There’s a push to bring Gay Marriage to New York. But, here’s the dirty little secret. The biggest proponents of Gay marriage in NY are white liberals. But on the other side, the biggest opponents are Latinos liberals, African American liberals and of course conservatives.
Diaz knows this, which is why he’s urging Gov Cuomo to let the people of the state decide the issue. And I totally agree. Let the people decide, not the politicians or the judges.

At lunch today I heard Rush talking about some knocks coming Michele Bachmann’s way from a piece in the Daily Caller. For some reason there are whispers going around GOP circles that she isn’t conservatively pure because she supported Ethanol subsidies.
To quote Barack Obama, “It’s the silly season!”
I’m not down with Ethanol, and yes it’s a boondoggle twisted up in Iowa politics. However, whether or not Bachmann is for or against E subsidies should not be a litheness test for conservative purity.
We conservatives play this stupid game all the time where we pull down our pants, whip it out and try to prove who the bigger conservative is. This practice will never go away, and I understand that. Nonetheless, we more often than not make fools of ourselves as we shoot each other’s feet.
Having said that, Michele Bachmann is plenty enough conservative for me! In fact, she tows the conservative line better than 99.9% of all Washington GOPers. She’s not afraid to unapologetically speak conservative values without trying to blur the message for the approval of the Washington elites.
She’s a founding member of the Tea Party Caucus in the House—nuff said!
And she has more balls than John Boehner and Eric Cantor combined.
Case closed!

Trump, was a flash in the pan…but Obama is still very nervous about keeping his job

Donald Trump, the master showman and billionaire is holding onto his hat. It was a nice flirtation and he made some noise.
But, he was never a serious threat to run for the GOP nod. However, it would be a huge mistake for GOPers to misinterpret what Trump did in a very short time.
Trump wasn’t afraid to speak boldly and take it hard to the president. And the GOP electorate responded very positively. So for the candidates left in the field or for those yet not decided to run, it would be q big mistake to think that playing it safe or being a mealy mouth candidate won’t get it done!
The most effective candidate against Barack Obama will be the candidate not afraid to directly challenge the president.

What the hell happened to the Newt I used to know?
It’s only been a few days since Newt’s announced his run for the GOP nomination, and already he’s running off the rails seeking the approval of the Left wing media by bashing a Republican plan.

Gingrich’s days as a relevant GOPer are over!
National Review reports Newt Gingrich’s appearance on “Meet the Press” today could leave some wondering which party’s nomination he is running for. The former speaker had some harsh words for Paul Ryan’s (and by extension, nearly every House Republican’s) plan to reform Medicare, calling it “radical.”
“I don’t think right-wing social engineering is any more desirable than left-wing social engineering,” he said when asked about Ryan’s plan to transition to a “premium support” model for Medicare. “I don’t think imposing radical change from the right or the left is a very good way for a free society to operate.”

This is a pretty pathetic performance by someone who did a lot for the cause of Conservatism. But like many GOPers, Newt has been infected with too much Washington to be any damn good.
It was nice knowing you, Newt!

This is a slow blogging day. So why not add a little sports to the crazy mix at TLT?
It’s good to see a player finally get a shot to play everyday in The Show. Justin Turner, who paid his dues in the minors, is getting a chance to shine with my beloved New York Mets.
Mets are 2 games under .500. I’m just sayin’…
CBS Sports reports at the end of Mets spring training, Justin Turner was sent to the minor leagues and told to be ready in case he was needed in New York.
As manager Terry Collins put it: “You never know what’s going to happen.”
Now he knows.
Turner homered and drove in a career-high five runs, and Jason Pridie hit a go-ahead single and stole home to help the New York Mets beat the Houston Astros 7-4 Sunday.
“He loves to play and here’s his chance,” Collins said. “You spend a few years in the minor leagues and you’ve been able to play for a while and you say ‘If I just had a chance, if I just had a chance.’
“Well, here’s his opportunity and he’s making the most of it.”
Turner hit a tying, two-run double in the Mets’ four-run fifth inning, and later scored the go-ahead run. Turner tacked on a three-run homer in the sixth and the Mets won for the seventh time in 10 games.
“Any time you drive in some runs you feel pretty good,” Turner said. “It makes it nicer to get an at bat every day and get comfortable and make adjustments from at bat to at bat as opposed to from day to three days.”

This is how Justin hit'em in the minors.

Miss Wisconsin Shaletta Porterfield USA’s dreams of becoming Miss USA shattered as she’s charged with ID theft

What is it with these beauty contestants losing their crown for whatever reasons? It’s like this happens every other month.
Daily Mail reports a woman who could have gone on to win the Miss USA title has been charged with identity theft.
Shaletta Porterfield won the Miss Wisconsin USA competition this year and automatically qualified to take part in the national competition which is being held in Las Vegas next month.
However, her dreams of winning the title have been shattered after she was charged by police in Dane County last month with three counts of misappropriating identity information to obtain more money.
Porterfield, 26, has now been forced to pull out of the competition and has resigned from her current title.
According to police she is alleged to have faked the signatures of three business owners while working at a marketing company.
All three companies became suspicious and called police after they were contacted and asked to proof adverts they had not agreed to buy.
Porterfield's attorney Robert Nagel said she was under extreme pressure to achieve goals and added that 'she has a lot going for her, and she's ready to move on.'

Under pressure to achieve goals?
So, it’s okay to steal from others?
Don’t let the pretty face fool you.

Did the Associated Press Skew a Poll About Obama in Favor of Democrats?
0 comments Posted by ai at 1:16 PMHell yes!
That 60% AP poll is just another example of the Obama lovin’ media ginning up his numbers. It’s sp blatant it’s ridiculous.
But, the majority of the American people—get it! Most Americans aren’t mindless O-bots. The media does everything it can perpetuate a myth of universal love for the president, but it simply is not so.

Barack who? People forget Hillary was a slam dunk for Dem nomination-Herman Cain can repeat history for GOP nod
0 comments Posted by ai at 8:00 AM
I remember it well.
I work in an office filled with Democrats and 99.9% of my black co-workers were staunch Hillary Clinton supporters. Most of the whites too.
So I used to chided my friends, “Hey, how come you ain’t support’en da bratha?”
“Oh, he has no shot. Pleeeese!”
That changed in less than 12 hours after Barack Obama won Iowa Caucuses.
The very next day I heard “OBANA! OBAMA!” chant all over the office.
So I asked my friend again, “What happened with Hillary?’
“Who?”
People are trying to play if off, but Obama was a total unknown. And the talking heads didn’t give him a shot.
So if you think Herman Cain can’t come out the blue to make a serious run, think again!
British woman Jennifer Mills-Westley beheaded in Tenerife made desperate plea for help before attack

Where the hell was thew police?
This is ridiculous for something lie this to happen. You walk the streets without getting your head cut off?
Disgusting!
UK Telegraph reports Jennifer Mills-Westley, the British woman beheaded in a Tenerife supermarket, tried to avoid her tormentor by taking refuge in an office doorway.
The retired 60-year-old from Norwich was stabbed to death and beheaded in the horrific attack on Friday.
She alerted a security guard in the social security office that she had been subjected to "threatening behaviour" from an unwashed vagrant.
Her tormentor, a 28-year-old homeless man called Deyan Valentinov Deyanov, was well known in the popular holiday resort for his unpredictable and sometimes violent behaviour.
Mrs Mills-Westley waited for him to move on, and alerted a security guard in the social security office where she sheltered that she had been subjected to "threatening behaviour".
It is unclear whether the Briton, a 60-year-old retired road safety officer from Norwich, was aware of the man's dangerous reputation. After a few minutes Deyanov left and the danger seemed to have passed.

Union whistleblowers in New York: We were beaten and harassed after they accused bosses of looting-the dark side of Obama’s base
0 comments Posted by ai at 5:31 AM
Let me tell you something. This story you’re about to read is not an isolated incident in one union local. I’ve been a union member all my adult life, 26 years. And I’ve heard of this stuff happening all the time.
It’s the dark side of unions that rarely gets publicized. My beef has always been with union leaders who for the most part are thugs. They love to portray themselves as fighting for the working guy while stealing out of their pockets with lavish salaries.
Here in New York the head of DC 37, the largest municipal union gets paid more than the mayor and the governor of the state.
So these guys will have no problem going Tony Soprano on anybody that would mess with their cash.
And these are the same element that backs President Barack Obama.
New York Daily News reports unionized phone company employees say they were beaten or threatened after they accused their labor bosses of looting their coffers through various scams.
One member of Communications Workers of America Local 1101 said that after he reported a time-sheet padding scheme, a thug beat him so badly his spine was injured.
Another says he found a dead rat in his locker, while a third said a union officer warned that suspected informants should be brought off company property and "taken care of."
The threats come to light as the U.S. Labor Department is probing charges that union bosses lined their pockets at the rank-and-file's expense.
Accusations include an unauthorized 401(k) plan union officers gave themselves funded with members' dues, along with hefty weekly allowances, lavish expense accounts and six-figure salaries, union documents show.
The feds are also looking into allegations that double-dipping union bosses illegally received pay from Verizon and the local for the same hours, sources said.
"This was union greed and that's worse than corporate greed," said Kevin Condy, a reform movement leader of the 6,700-member local that represents mostly Verizon workers in Manhattan and the Bronx. "These guys acted like they felt they were entitled."
And, some members charge, the bosses retaliated when threatened with exposure.
In August, business agent Patrick Gibbons said he received death threats and his office was vandalized after he complained that union bosses were misappropriating cash.
"They were warning me that if I continue to complain about their finances, they would have me killed," Gibbons wrote in an open letter to union members.
Six months earlier, Verizon heavy equipment operators Salvatore DiStefano and Sebastian Taravella sued the local in Brooklyn Federal Court.
They said they were harassed after telling Verizon security officials a manager allowed workers to leave early but claim a full day's pay - as long as they completed a quota of assigned jobs.
DiStefano told the Daily News he was "attacked by a union thug" as he started the morning shift at a Verizon garage in the Bronx in April 2009.
"He pounded me with his fists, he spit on me, he choked me and threw me down to the floor," he said.
DiStefano said he suffered two herniated discs and had knee problems that required surgery. He got workers' compensation as a result, records show.
Taravella said a dead rat was put in his locker with "a note tied to his tail" that said "Rest in Peace, Sebbie."
The incidents came after a local vice president purportedly told members at a meeting, "We have to deal with these spies on a personal level, like take them ... off the company property and off company time and take care of them," the suit charged.
Taravella still works at Empire City Subway, a Verizon subsidiary; DiStefano was fired in July 2009 for "violation of the business code of conduct."
Verizon officials declined to comment except to say they'd given probers "a small amount of payroll information."

Don’t expect to see a follow up to this story in the Daily News because the topic always seems to fade away.
New York is a union town ya’ know.

I think a lot of commentators will think Huckabee not running will help not to split the social conservative vote. Although that may be the case, who will they say it will benefit the most?
I say Herman Cain may be doing cartwheels today.
Remember where you heard this.
Fox News reports the show is normally prerecorded before it airs at 8 p.m. ET, but Huckabee saved the last 10 minutes of tonight’s broadcast to make his announcement live.
"The past few months have been times of deep personal reflection," Huckabee said. "Even though I wasn't actively establishing a campaign organization or seeking financial support to run again, polls have consistently put me at or near the top to be the Republican nominee."
"But I know that under the best of circumstances, being President is a job that takes one to the limit of his or her human capacity," he continued. "I can't know or predict the future, but I know for now my answer is clear and firm: I will not seek the Republican nomination for President this year."
Huckabee said others probably thought about a presidential bid more than he did.
"I had not done much toward a race because my life was filled with work that I truly love here at Fox News, doing radio commentaries on my daily Huckabee Report on 600 radio stations, traveling the country for speaking engagements, and helping good conservative, pro-life candidates who were running for office," he said.
Donald Trump delivered a message after Huckabee's decision to opt out.
"A lot of people are very happy that he will not be running, especially other candidates, so Mike enjoy the show," Trump said. "The ratings are terrific. Good luck."

GISELE BUNDCHEN sexy runway pics highest paid model 8th year in a row
0 comments Posted by ai at 9:00 PM
I don’t know how Tom Brady, QB of the New England Patriots does it. This is what he has to come home after a rough game.
Poor guy got it rough!
The Sun reports GISELE BUNDCHEN shows that as the world's highest-earning model her nest is so well feathered she has a few left over.
The Brazilian wore plumage-fringed outfits as she modelled her own lingerie line. She recently took the top-earner title for the EIGHTH year in a row after raking in £28million last year, trumping rivals KATE MOSS and HEIDI KLUM.
And she proved just why she's still No1 as she captivated the audience in Hope lingerie's new summer collection. The beauty, married to football star TOM BRADY, gave birth to her first son less than 18 months ago. And there wasn't an inch to pinch as she confidently flaunted her post-baby curves on the runway.
More pics here, if you can stand it.

Guess Who's Coming To Dinner, a classic in every sense of the word
0 comments Posted by ai at 8:36 PM
A 1967 American drama film starring Spencer Tracy, Sidney Poitier and Katharine Hepburn, and featuring Hepburn's niece Katharine Houghton.
The film was groundbreaking for its positive representation of the controversial subject of interracial marriage, which historically had been illegal in most states of the United States, and was still illegal in seventeen southern American states up until June 12 of the year of the film's release, when it was legalized by the Supreme Court decision in Loving v. Virginia.
It was produced and directed by Stanley Kramer, and written by William Rose. The movie's Oscar-nominated score was composed by Frank DeVol. [2]
This my favorite scene
The last 5 seconds is cut off from this scene
Potier continues to say "But you see yourself as a colored man. I see myself as a man." Very powerful scene.
