I’ve been having discussions with a couple of blogger friends of mine about potential GOP nominees for president, We knock around the usual suspects and the bottom line is that it’s a lackluster field if Chris Christie and Sarah Palin don’t throw their hats in the ring..

However, they did mention Herman Cain.

Rush Limbaugh has been saying for the past couple of days that the eventual GOP nominee won’t have the guts to challenge Obama’s philosophy and instead will only criticize his policies for fear of being hammered by the lame stream media.

If this is true, this leaves a wide opening for the candidate who’s not afraid to speak boldly and not be a timid rabbit.

That man could be Herman Cain.

The Blaze reports that Herman Cain may not have officially declared his presidential candidacy yet, but he sure sounds like he’s on the campaign trail.

Appearing yesterday with Greta Van Susteren, Cain discussed what people should look for in a new president (not surprisingly, it sounded a lot like himself) and also took a shot at Barack Obama. Cain’s jab focused on Obama omitting “on purpose”* the word “Creator” during past recitations of the Declaration of Independence. He went on to extol the Founders, saying they “got it right.”

According to Cain, Obama’s omissions mean “something’s wrong.” And while he admitted he is a religious man, he did not go as far as to say Obama is not:
